BY-LAWS
Article I - Meetings
Section 1 - The Board of Directors and membership will meet during the calendar year on a schedule determined by the Board of Directors.
Section 2 - The President may call a special meeting of the Board of Directors at his or her discretion.
Article II – Election Voting Rights
Each Association member shall have the right to one (1) vote in elections, providing dues are current.
Article III - Constitution
Section 1 – If an amendment to the constitution is being considered by the Board of Directors, the membership will be notified by posting the “intent of change” on the Association web-site thirty (30) days prior to the next regular meeting.
Section 2 - The Constitution shall be amended by a two-thirds majority of those present.
Article IV - Parliamentary Rules
Section 1 - Robert's Rules of Order shall govern the proceedings of the Board of Directors and the Association.
Section 2 - Each member of the Board of Directors shall be given a copy of the Constitution and By-Laws. One copy shall be present at every meeting and will be kept in the Secretary's record book.
Article V - Fees
Membership fees will be established yearly by the Board of Directors of the Glendale Alumni Association.
Article VI – Fund Raising
The Board of Directors will determine the fund raising activities of the Association.
Article VII – Scholarships and Extracurricular Award Opportunities
Section 1 - The Board of Directors reserves the right to fund any scholarship(s) or extra
curricular awards. Scholarships will be awarded according to guidelines adopted by the Board of Directors.
Section 2 - The Board of Directors reserves the right to use Association funds for Glendale School District projects.
